Тиазидные диуретики могут увеличивать сывороточный уровень триглицерида и холестерина, в первую очередь, ЛПНП и ЛПОНП. Являются ли эти эффекты от дозы и устойчивой при хронической терапии неизвестны. Пациенты с существующими ранее гиперлипидемия может потребоваться более тщательный мониторинг во время терапии тиазидными, и соответствующие корректировки вносятся в их гиполипидемического лечения
