Антихолинергические препараты противопоказаны у пациентов с первичной глаукомой, тенденция к глаукомы (узкий угол передней камеры), или синехии (спайки) между диафрагмой и объективом, а также для пожилых людей и других, в которых недиагностированными глаукомы или избыточного давления в глазу могут присутствовать. Потому что холинолитики вызывают мидриаз, они могут усугубить эти условия.
