Азатиоприн метаболически превращается в фармакологически активный 6-меркаптопурин (6-Мп). Преобразование 6-Мп и метаболизма 6-МП может быть нарушена у пациентов с заболеваниями печени. Терапии с Азатиоприн применяют с осторожностью у пациентов с заболеваниями печени. Мониторинг функции печени рекомендуется у таких пациентов.
